As many of you are aware people are reacting to Covid-19 in many different ways. The University of London I imagine is expecting a large reduction of students for next year especially foreign students who bring in a lot of the money. As a knee jerk reaction to this, the University of London has decided to shut down all University clubs without any attempt at talking to the clubs or trying to work out how they can be run on a reduced budget. Amongst these clubs is the University of London Rifle Club which was founded in 1911 and may be shut down tomorrow (we were only told about this on Monday). If anyone is a former member or just doesn't want to see a very old rifle club being shut down please consider signing the below petition.

Whilst I assume the rifle club is of more interest to this forum this does apply to all University of London clubs.

Thanks, I'm not super confident either. The tiny window between the announcement and the decision shows they've already made their decision really. Maybe there'll be a surprise result though.

Well the University has agreed to keep the club open until at least December and then discussions will resume again. Thanks for all the signatures guys.
