Just read the latest BASC report on their tests with non lead ammo in which they included one test using standard 40g lead.
Not very impressive at all, accuracy pretty hopeless and muzzle velocities between 1700 -1850 fps which (using a moderator) wouldn't be allowed for target shooting in many clubs (Full 49 page report available on BASC website). It looks like there will have to be a considerable amount of work done by .22 cartridge makers!

Re: BASC report on non lead Ammunition
BASC have thrown us under the bus and they know it. All they care about is high end game shooters who can afford to use Bismuth in their very expensive guns.
The rest of us who need to use accurate .22rf ammo are of no consequence.

Never argue with an idiot, he will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.
