I have been having an ongoing battle with HSBC over our Club account, which had a bar placed on it last November (albeit this only took affect in May / June). The whole process has been shocking, with weeks between contact and yet another request for further spurious information. This is on an account that had been active for almost 30 years.

A real example of how not to deliver customer service….

We have just closed our account with HSBC and opened one with Lloyds.

On clay pigeon club I shoot at, had their payment card facility removed by Sum-Up - "illegal and immoral activities" was the excuse. Another club carries on using it.

iZettle was fine until taken over by paypal then they suddenly stopped sending our payments to the bank. The reason was 'selling items that cause harm'!?

Managed to get the money forwarded after some negotiation and moved everything to Square.

Good deals with Paul101, Charlotte the flyer, majordisorder, Charlie Muggins, among others. Thanks everybody.
