Spotting scope

Looking for a recommendation, primary use will be to look at the far reaching views from my place, secondary as a spotting scope.

Got a budget in mind?
Something like the old traditional Greencat 20x60 can be found for not much money - reasonable glass and will comfortably see the spotting disc at 600 or 1,000 yds.

If you want to spend £2-3K then the Swarovski scopes are really very good.

I have a compact Minox one like this, which is great for the money, and compact too. It won't get anywhere close to a larger objective and higher mag unit if you were wanting it for low light work in the field, but for target shooting at full daylight (or indoors) its great. 32x is more than enough to see a spotting disk at 600 yards/meters too so don't get too fooled into thinking you need 50-60x magnification.

For your price range then Vortex always seem popular, and their warranty always seems to have positive reviews on various forums. If going for used, you could maybe get an older Swarovski or similar but even some of those are still £1k+ when used and in good condition).
