Hello all
Hi all, a work colleague told me of this forum so thought I would take a look and am very impressed with the info on offer.
I am looking at getting into fullbore target shooting once I find a local club, I am ex military where I was the shooting captain for my station and also the NRA RCO tho this ran out in november and as I am no longer in a club was unable to re-apply for it.
I have a shotgun licence and 5 gun safe with lock top so I'm hopeing this will help when I'm able to apply for an fac licence and I intend to buy some ammo safes as the lock top only holds a few boxes of shotgun carts doh!
Hopefully I will meet some of you around as you seem a nice bunch.
Regards
Buzz.

Re: Hello all
Welcome to F-B(UK) Buzz. Any ideas of calibres you will apply for at this stage? I use digital lock safes for ammunition, three of the stacked in a column and bolted together and they work very well.

Re: Hello all
Hi Ovenpaa, I was thinking of .22 rimfire or 17HMR .223 and .308 plus sec 1 shotgun tho I need to do some research. I was thinking of digital safes from a diy shop but didnt know if they would be allowed for ammo storage.
Hi Dave 101, I'm from south lincs just north of Peterborough and the nearest Club I've found so far is Isle Target Sports Club near Ely which is about 40 mile away.

Hi Buzz
Do a Google search for gun / rifle clubs near Peterborough theres a few about , plus you have some military ranges up your way . for Section one shotgun for target shooting you will need a club that can catter for this so long as you can justify your need for any calibre on your FAC application it should be granted . the 17 may be a problem for target as not all club ranges are covered for these due to the velocity .
As you say do the homework first .

Is Cambridge too far for you? We shoot at Cambridge and Thetford, anything from 200 to 1200 yards.
