Lyman Mold Handles

#1 Post by Sim G »

Looking for a set of Lyman mold handles, for an Ohaus mold I picked up for the new Winny. Allegedly, Ohaus were bought out by RCBS in the 70's, but, Lyman handles are the ones that fit, according to a little searching on tinterweb.

Double cavity mold I have.

Boy are they pricey!! I've only ever used Lee molds and you get handles with them!!

Anyone got a set lying around? Preferably cheap as the mold is a gamble...... Don't know if it is going to drop the right bullet so don't want to et into this for mega bucks (relatively).

What a rambling post....
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

And replied to.....

Jon has given me a lead on some new handles, but, if anyone has any used out there, that would be great!

Do you want a single cavity handle? I have one spare.

Hi Roger, perhaps you would know. The mold is a double cavity. The handles I've seen by Lyman are a "combined" single/double cavity handles but then on ebay I did see a single cavity mold, which did look small.....

The Lyman site only lists double and four cavity handles...

The mold I've got measures 1.58" x 1.25" The recess for the handles to go into is on the shorter side.

Definitely double cavity handles needed. Mine are all in use, I'm afraid.
