Hi all
pulled some heads from the old military surplus 7.92mm that i was given , what is the best way to make the primer inactive

Spray in a quick squirt of WD40, works for me every time..

thanks for that, I do for a change have wd oil in the shed, wont have to "borrow" dads again and again!!!!!!

WD 40 will not kill primers when it dries out they will go bang again.

Stupid question probably but cant you just load them and fire them ensuring that all powder is out of them?
It's not the pace of life that concerns me, it's the sudden stop at the end!

Hammer but if they are milsurp they are likely to be Berdan primed which means ideally they need to be detonated in a rifle which makes noise and they are probably corrosive as well.

I've always popped the primers in a gun, hammer and nail just doesn't appeal to me.....
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Shoot them, clouting cases with a primer in is not a great idea. I suppose you could remove the decapping pin, resize and load them as an alternative.
