Having broken my front sight blade on my ROA which btw was modified to have a thin post instead of a ramp, I made a replacement out of ali as it was easy to drill a 1.6mm hole in and easy to work on.
But, it also bends easily on filing to shape.
I am now going to make a few out of steel.
My question is: Is the standard ramp profile fine for 25 yard target ? Or should I make a different one?

Re: Front sight blade profiles.
I'd just make up a dummy fore sight with a strip of can and get it set at the right height for your shooting/load and then make the replacement to that height.

Re: Front sight blade profiles.
Well, I finally bit the bullet and bought two different height sight blades and had them fitted.
Thanks for suggestion, but it appears my lazyness cells cut in.
