P 14 Winchester Extractor
Does anyone have, for sale, an extractor for the bolt of a Winchester P14 rifle or know of any dealers who may be able to help?
Re: P 14 Winchester Extractor
Forgot to say that this is for a 7.62mm conversion.
Is it possible to build up the extractor claw with weld and then file to shape? I realise that the extractor is probably spring steel and welding may harm the springyness (if that's the correct term!)

Mine broke at Bisley so I popped into Fulton's and they had one off the shelf. 7.62mm ready as well. £15 fitted on the spot, not that difficult.

Try the Wirksworth gun room. They have a knackered p14 with a good bolt.

Call Phil Rose on 01425470561
or
pjrcollectables@hotmail.com
Phil has a unit full of enfield bits going right back, and he is very fair with his prices.
He has helped me and Ovenpaa out over the years with bits and bats, and has just done a nice re-barrel and woodwork job on my mates SMLE.

Re: P 14 Winchester Extractor
Maggot & dromia thanks for your input. Shandwick's are out of stock and Phil Rose is getting back to me. Both suggested that I try and find the extractor for the P17 rifle as this was chambered for the 30-06 round and will need no alteration.
So has anyone got a spare P17 extractor !!
Thanks again for your help

Phils place is a bit of an Aladin's cave.
He may well have one but will have to check several locations.

He went the extra mile to help me with a broken p14/17 extractor.
Brillant.
