Forum rules
Posting of negative comments in the Gunshop section could bring unwanted criticism on the forum, having said that it is important to let members know if dealings with a Gunshop were less than ideal for you. To that end we will allow what will be known as the 'Scotsgun Ruling'

The Scotsgun Ruling:

>Add Gun Shop here<

"As I've yet to have a 'positive' experience there, I'll refrain from commenting further."

Beyond that please take it up with the Gunshop, if you do resolve the issue in a agreeable manner let us know!

This rule applies to the entire forum.

I have had many dealings with Tire one finding them prompt efficient and a pleasure to do business with.

I am really surprised to hear this.

Give them another chance,

As Ewen above, pretty much always next day service.
I've had some custom stuff built at extremely short notice and they gave always delivered as promised.

No, I reckon I'm done with them. I've had a couple of PMs that have indicated a change of personnel and it appears anecdotally that there are issues such as bullets clipping baffles, flame cutting and poor finishes. Considering I regard my original as a fantastic bit of kit, the risk now of an inferior product and the service I've received since February.....

Well, it's not that we have limited choice for moderators in the UK. Every cloud and all that!
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

And now after speaking with Tier One and again with my local shop, it seems that something is awry and Tier One are trying to pit me against the shop that Ive dealt with for 30 years!

Tier One claim to have never supplied my shop with anything accept .30cal 1/2" and 5/8" UNF, never mind having received an order from the shop for anything with a 17x1 spigot.... My shop has just shown me return records for SIX moderators, 17x1 without spigots that were returned!

I'm going to leave this now as I no longer have anything constructive to say about them....

Sim G you probably made the correct decision mate, a friend had similar issues with the company regarding a picatinny rail and gave up on them after being let down a couple of times. Conversely another friend has nothing but praise for the company. I just go by the old adage of speak as you find.
