Hi from sunny(ish) Sussex

#1 Post by 1066 »

Hi
I've been a shooter for more than 45 years with interests covering all aspect although I must admit I'm not much of a scatter gun shooter.

I currently shoot F-class, Gallery rifle, BP pistol, FAC air .22 etc.

Always keen to learn and share any experience I may have.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys - My shooting experience started in the 1950's with a Diana Mod 2 pop-out barrel air pistol (Which I still have) to only just a couple of weeks ago I was have a go with a 6mmBr rifle that the chap had made himself from scratch, not buying a load of bits and screwing them together and calling it a custom gun like most of us do. Now I like making bits of shooting kit myself but can you imagine the amount of work involved in making a "one off" receiver, bolt, trigger and stock from scratch.

My aspiration is to make something from scratch one day as well. I just need a bigger lathe, a Mill, more space, time, money...Arghhh...

What bits do you make for yourself?
